Samsung Galaxy S8

The Samsung Galaxy S8 is powered by 1.9GHz octa-core Samsung Exynos 8895 processor and it comes with 4GB of RAM. The phone packs 64GB of internal storage that can be expanded up to 256GB via a microSD card. As far as the cameras are concerned, the Samsung Galaxy S8 packs a 12-megapixel primary camera on the rear and a 8-megapixel front shooter for selfies.

The Samsung Galaxy S8 is a single SIM (GSM) . Connectivity options include Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, NFC, 3G and 4G. Sensors on the phone include Compass Magnetometer, Proximity sensor, Accelerometer, Ambient light sensor and Gyroscope.

This phone is apparently the first to hit Gigabit LTE speeds. T-Mobile has shared a video that shows the Galaxy S8 hitting really fast speeds. This is largely possible due to the Snapdragon 835 chip that houses the latest Qualcomm X16 LTE modem capable of hitting gigabit speeds. Samsung had also announced earlier that the Exynos 8895 is also capable of hitting gigabit speeds. Of course, T-Mobile’s test is done under ideal conditions and it’s unlikely that such speeds can be achieved in real life scenarios. The smartphone will support wireless charging as well as fast charging.
This is the first smartphone to sport Bluetooth 5.0

Xiaomi to launch air purifier in India

Chinese tech and smartphone company plans to launch their air-purifiers in Indian market soon.
"Now, we can say we will launch air-purifiers in India," Xiaomi India head Manu Jain said when asked about products the company was planning to introduce beside mobiles this year.
He, however, did not mention any specific date for the launch or pricing details.
Jain also declined to comment about the launch of Mi TV in 2016.
The compact Mi air-purifier was first showcased in China in November 2015 when it was touted to be priced at around Rs. 7,000 based on Chinese pricing.
Air purifiers will be one of the major products beside mobiles and some accessories and Mi Band.
Asked about the target for 2016, Jain said, "We never had targets in Xiaomi."
Without disclosing sales in India in 2015, Jain said in the last four quarters (last two quarters of 2015 and first two quarters of 2016), the company has sold in excess of one million handsets in India.
He said despite focus to stay in online strategy, the company will gradually grow the offline sales, which is at 10 percent of the total sales with some 5,000 retail dealer footprint. The company was optimistic about the new budget smartphone Redmi 3S and 3S Prime and the handsets would be assembled by their vendor Foxconn, he added.

GoPro Hero 4 Black and Hero 4 Silver

In the world of adventure sports, GoPro cameras are probably the most popular tools used for capturing all the action. In fact, you'll often find them used for film and television production too thanks to their diminutive size and strong video capabilities. You don't even have to be an adventure junkie or a professional to appreciate the benefits of an action camera. With the right mounts and accessories, you could make even simple activities more fun.
GoPro cameras have been around in India for a while now; however the company has recently entered into a partnership with Reliance Digital to officially expand its reach in the retail market too. GoPro is bringing its latest Hero 4 series and Session action cameras to the Indian market.
Design and build
Both cameras are part of the company's flagship tier and differ only slightly in terms of features and pricing. They have identical dimensions and are each about the size of a matchbox, which makes them relatively inconspicuous. The Hero 4 Black is a tad heavier than the Silver but it's a negligible difference when you actually hold them both.

Both models have a few features in common: a front-facing, non-backlit display with by a power/ mode button just below it; a shutter button on the top; a settings button on the left; and a Micro-HDMI port, a Mini-USB port, and a microSD card slot covered by a rubber flap on the right. Both also have removable batteries, which can be accessed from the bottom. There are three LED status lights placed along sides of the camera, so you can tell when it is recording even if the camera is placed at an obscure angle. You also get Wi-Fi/ Bluetooth and recording status LEDs just next to the display on the front.

The cameras are extremely well built and feel like premium products. The rubber-clad bodies offer good grip too, in case you plan on using either of them without a waterproof housing. The big physical difference between the Black and the Silver is that the latter has a built-in touch display, which makes navigating menus a lot simpler. You can also use this display to frame shots and do basic video editing on the camera itself. However, both cameras still have a docking port on the back for attaching GoPro's external Touch BacPac display.

The Hero 4 Silver and Black both come in fancy packaging. In each box, you get the standard waterproof housing, curved and flat adhesive mounts, quick release buckles, 3-way pivot arm, USB cable, and a skeleton backdoor for the housing. The Silver also comes with one additional backdoor which lets you use the touchscreen through the housing.
The GoPros cannot be mounted on a tripod or anything for that matter without the housing, which is a bit unfortunate.
Specifications and features
The Hero 4 Silver and Black both sport 12-megapixel sensors with wide-angle lenses. Both support 4K video recording. However, the Black packs in a more powerful image processor which is how it's able to handle higher bit-rate video like 4K at 30fps, 4K SuperView (GoPro's version of dynamically stretching a 4:3 aspect video to 16:9 ratio), 1080p at 120fps, and 720p at 240fps. The Silver forgoes some SuperView resolutions above 1080p. Both cameras support microSD cards of up to 64GB in capacity.

Photo capabilities are identical for both cameras, with a variable burst mode that can go as high as 30 frames per second, and timelapse intervals of 0.5 to 60 seconds. The cameras also feature Protune settings for both video and stills, which is like a manual mode for your GoPro, letting you adjust the white balance, colour, ISO range, sharpness and exposure compensation.

You can control both cameras through the GoPro app on your phone, and also download and edit clips directly to your phone or another portable device for instant sharing. The app lets you control all settings, switch modes, and power the camera on or off. The main advantage is using it as a remote viewfinder for framing your shots.
Performance
Setting up a GoPro Hero 4 with your phone is a simple process. Once paired, you can specify unique names for all your cameras in the app, which makes it easier to switch between them. Wi-Fi can be left on even when the camera is off so you can trigger it remotely and start shooting. A fair warning though: leaving the Wi-Fi on will drain the camera's battery a lot faster. Thankfully, you can quickly toggle this by holding the Settings button for a few seconds.

Competing the world : Lenovo Air Pro Launches In Competition Witha New Xiaomi Mi Notebook Air

Xiaomi's Mi Notebook Air announcement on Wednesday created quite a buzz because
of the specifications it is offering at the price. Quite expectedly, fellow laptop-makers
were not going to sit back and watch. Lenovo has now announced its Air 13 Pro laptop
which features specifications that are quite similar to the Xiaomi Mi Notebook Air.
Lenovo's Air 13 Pro laptop comes with a 13.3-inch IPS display and packs an Intel i5-6200U
processor inside. The laptop weighs 1.29kg compared with 1.28kg on Mi Notebook Air.
The laptop has 256GB of SSD storage and has 4GB of RAM. Lenovo's laptop is 1.48cm
thin and features powerful 2GB NVIDIA GT940MX graphics card.
One feature that distinguishes Lenovo's laptop from that of Xiaomi is fingerprint recognition.
Fingerprint recognition is a useful feature and its absence on Mi Notebook Air can
possibly tilt the tide in Lenovo's favour.
Lenovo's Air 13 Pro is already available for pre-registration and currently carries a price
tag of CNY 4,999 (roughly Rs. 51,400), which is exactly the same as the price tag on
13.3-inch Mi Notebook Air. However, the selling price for Lenovo's laptop will reportedly
shoot up to CNY 5,499 (Rs. 55,400) after the pre-sale period ends.
Xiaomi Mi Notebook Air might not have the fingerprint recognition feature but the laptop does have the ability to unlock via the Mi Band 2, enabled by the laptop's Bluetooth v4.1 connectivity. In terms of competition, it would be fair to say that both these laptops offer really good features for a price that is quite lucrative.

IOS 10 features

Apple is testing a new feature in iOS 10 that will warn users when water enters the
Lightning port. A warning pops up on the iPhone screen when an accessory is
inserted into the affected Lightning port.
The feature is seen on the latest beta version 3 of iOS 10, and seems to be functional
only for iPhone 6siPhone 6s Plus, and iPhone SE users for now. It was first spotted
by Engadget, and the feature essentially detects moisture and warns the user about
it, before any deeper damage occurs.
If there is any liquid inside the port, the iPhone running on iOS 10 beta will warn the
user to disconnect the Lightning accessory. The warning reads, "Liquid has been
detected in the Lightning connector. To protect your iPhone, disconnect this iPhone
accessory, and allow the connector to dry."
There is also an option to ignore the warning if the user prefers to do so. However,
let's not forget that the feature is still in beta, and a much more polished version will
probably be released with the final iOS 10 version in September.
The new software version will release alongside the iPhone 7, and promises to
bring a host of new features and improvements. The iMessage app bags
several new social features, Siri has been beefed up with APIs that finally
allow it to control third-party apps, and even Photos app has now got deep
learning to identify and classify people and objects in photos. Apple Music
has been completely redesigned, Apple Maps has got an overhaul, and
HomeKit is going to be introduced as a standalone app.

Intex Aqua Fish

Intex on Friday launched the Aqua Fish smartphone, said to be the first licenced Sailfish
OS device in the world. Running Jolla's Sailfish 2.0 OS, the smartphone will initially be
exclusively available via eBayIndia at Rs. 5,499. It will become available on Amazon,
Flipkart, and Snapdeal in the coming weeks.
The dual-SIM supporting Intex Aqua Fish sports a 5-inch HD (720x1280 pixels) resolution
TFT display and is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core Snapdragon (unspecified) processor
under-the-hood, clubbed with 2GB of DDR3 RAM. The latest Sailfish OS 2.0-based
smartphone sports an 8-megapixel rear camera with LED flash alongside a 2-megapixel
front-facing camera. Also housed is 16GB inbuilt storage, which can be expanded via
microSD card (up to 32GB).
The Intex Aqua Fish supports 4G LTE connectivity along with Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n,
Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, and Micro-USB 2.0. It is backed by a 2500mAh battery and will
be available in Black and Orange colour variants. It weighs in at 150 grams, and
measures 142.4x72x9.6mm.
The company had announced its partnership with Jolla and its plans to launch a Sailfish
smartphone 'within a few months' back at MWC Shanghai in June last year. Jolla unveiled
its Sailfish OS 2.0 at MWC in Barcelona last year. The updated OS brings an improved UI
and new software integration capabilities for partners. Swiping left or right from the multitasking
view in Sailfish OS 2.0 brings up partner spaces, which the company uses to monetise its OS.
Intex also became the first company in the world to license Sailfish OS 2.0. This operating
system can run Android apps.
Company says ''with Intex Aqua Fish, smartphone lovers in India will get the possibility to
experience a totally new, fast and smooth user experience, and run their favourite
Android apps in a totally new environment."

New Pascal-Based Titan X Graphics Card By NVIDIA

Nvidia CEO Jen-Hsun Huang confirmed that the company will be launching a new flagship
Titan series graphics card based on the same new Pascal architecture as the recent
GeForce GTX 10801070and 1060 GPUs. The new card will be called Nvidia Titan X,
apparently dropping the GeForce branding for the first time since the Titan series debuted.
It will be priced at an incredible $1200 (approximately Rs. 80,515 before taxes and duties)
and will be targeted not only at the world's most demanding gamers, but also at researchers
and corporations developing tools for deep learning and artificial intelligence.
Architectural details are light at the moment. Nvidia has not confirmed the codename of
the new GPU, which is undoubtedly larger than the GP104 which both the GTX 1080
and GTX 1070 are based on. The new Titan X has 12 billion transistors in the form of
3,584 programmable CUDA cores. It runs at up to 1.53GHz and can achieve throughput
of 11 Teraflops. It will also have 12GB of high-speed GDDR5X memory on a 384-bit wide
bus resulting in 480GBps of memory bandwidth.
Nvidia claims performance is 60 percent faster than the previous GeForce GTX Titan X.
Maximum power draw is rated at 250W through one 8-pin and one 6-pin PCIe connector.
The card itself is a standard 10.5 inches long and uses a beefier version of the
vapour-chamber cooler that the GeForce GTX 1080 Founders' Edition uses.
The Titan X will support all architectural features that were announced at the time of the
GTX 1080 launch, including simultaneous multi-projection, which allows the GPU to
render the same frame from multiple perspectives within a single pass rather than
requiring multiple passes for each. This is highly useful for VR and multi-monitor
applications. Nvidia's Ansel tool for high-quality in-game screenshots is also supported.
The Titan X will also support two-way SLI using Nvidia's new high-bandwidth bridge,
in keeping with the company's new strategy restricting it to high-end cards. Display
outputs will include DisplayPort 1.4, HDMI 2.0b, and dual-link DVI-D.
The new Nvidia Titan X will go on sale in the US on August 2, with global availability
to follow. It will be available only through Nvidia's own website and a handful of
authorised system builders.

'World's First Liquid-Cooled Laptop' : Asus ROG GX700

Taiwan-based technology major Asus on Wednesday announced the launch of world's
first liquid-cooled laptop in India, the ROG GX700, priced at Rs. 4,12,990. The company
also launched the ROG Strix GL502 gaming laptop in India.
Part of Asus' Republic of Gamers lineup of gaming hardware, the ROG GX700
premium gaming laptop comes with a detachable ROG-exclusive Hydro Overclocking
