World's First Smartphone With Quad DAC : LG V20

LG on Thursday announced another feature reveal for its upcoming V20 smartphone. The successor to the popular LG V10 will sport a 32-bit Hi-Fi Quad DAC (digital to analogue converter) for enhanced audio playback.

The South Korean consumer electronics giant said that when using compatible wired headphones, the Quad DAC on the LG V20 will deliver "crisp and clear" sound to users. This implementation is said to be superior to a traditional DAC, and can reduce up to 50 percent of ambient noise levels.
LG said it worked with ESS Technology to develop the Quad DAC, which will supposedly be the "lynchpin" for several multimedia-related features on the LG V20.
LG worked closely with ESS Technology, a leader in high-performance analog and audio devices, to ensure that the Quad DAC, delivered the best audio experience for owners of the LG V20

The company claimed that this would make the LG V20 the first smartphone to launch with the Nougat version.

LG X screening India

LG India on Monday launched the X screen smartphone in India, priced at Rs. 12,990. The smartphone will be available exclusively via Snapdeal from Wednesday.

The highlight of the LG X screen is its dual display setup - the Always On display, similar to what we've seen on the LG V10 and the LG G5, is 4.93 inches in size and comes with with a resolution of 720x1280 pixels. The second display, which measures 1.76 inches diagonally and is placed about the primary display, has a resolution 520x80 pixel.

The LG X screen's second display will show notifications for apps, calls without interrupting the current activity or just display music controls. The second display also allows users to check time, date, battery status and other notifications without ever having to turn on the phone.

It's this secondary display that LG is using to tout the X screen as the "first phone with SOS mode." The secondary display will show the SOS button, and the panic button can be activated by pressing the power button five times in a row.

The Android 6.0 Marshmallow-based LG X screen is powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core processor paired with 2GB of RAM. It packs 16GB of inbuilt storage and is backed by a 2300mAh battery. The smartphone sports a 13-megapixel rear camera and an 8-megapixel front-facing camera.

The smartphone measures 142.6x71.8x7.1mm and also supports 4G LTE connectivity. The X screen will be available in Black and White colours. Launch offers on the LG X screen include Rs. 650 cashback for SBI users, a free subscription to Hungama Play and Hungama Play Apps, and a Vodafone 4G data offer.
